I installed Knoppix 5.0.1 on my Thinkpad T30. Most everything works except the Thinkpad buttons (which do work with Fedora Core 5).
My computer is a ThinkPad T30 T236685U with:
1.80GHz Intel® Pentium® 4
14.1" TFT (1024 x 768)
Microsoft Windows XP Professional Edition
256MB RAM
40GB Hard Disk
DVD-ROM
56K Modem, Ethernet, 802.11b wireless LAN
USB Port
To get the wireless working, boot with "knoppix nodhcp" and open a root window, then:
- wlcardconfig
- pump -i eth0
You have to enter the specifics regarding your network in the wlcardconfig step. TODO: Note Model and Kernel module for the Wireless card.
You have to turn the volume up to hear any sound. See http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Knowing_Knoppix/Sound
