netcat 10.0.1.5 9100 < print.ps
If you ever need to print to an HP jetdirect printer but don't want to bother setting up the printing manager and CUPS etc, then you can just print to a .ps file. In this example the file name is called print.ps. If you're IP address was 10.0.1.5, then you would type the command string above in a term window.
