Synaptic (previously known as raptor) is a GUI-frontend for apt. The major difference from other frontends is that Synaptic is meant to be easy to use.
- Does NOT seem to be working in 5.3.1/DVD but it can if you use aptitude to update synaptic. I used the root terminal to run aptitude and it can update itself.
