This change is not persistent to my experience, sadly, I hence suggest to put the .deb to the home page and to reinstall it whenever one feels like it.

Unless you have installed Knoppix, this installation is not permanenent.  To make this a "permanent" change you can use a persistent disk image or remaster the Knoppix CD.

  dpkg -i skype_...deb

Unless you have installed Knoppix, this installation is not permanenent. To make this a "permanent" change you can use a persistent disk image or remaster the Knoppix CD.
