KDE problems
KMix application keeps popping up
This can sometimes happen when various KDE packages get updated in a Knoppix remaster. Setting KDE_SERVICES_ENABLED to false in the /etc/default/kde-services-knoppix file may resolve the issue.
Konsole opens but hangs with no prompt appearing
This seems to happen if the /dev/pty* permissions do not allow writing to any of the devices.
