Command line
From Knoppix Documentation Wiki
A command line interface or CLI is a method of interacting with a computer by entering lines of text commands in written form either from either keyboard input or from a script. The computer then generally responds with text output to the display or the output can be sent to a file. Compare the command line interface to the graphical user interface, GUIs.
